who we are?

Change1 Child is a nonprofit, non governmental organization that takes action against failing schools, hunger and poverty affecting children around the world.

Change 1 Child takes the stance that education through motivation, exposure and interest based learning are some of the key components needed to reach children and initiate a spark for learning. Enabling children to see themselves beyond their current conditions and circumstances by placing in their hands literature that makes a connection to their daily lives, while at the same time expands their thoughts and ideas regarding their own potential.

Project: Broken but NOT forgotten - AIDS in Uganda, East Africa

Change 1 Child has partnered with a nonprofit organization (Organisation for Good Life of the Marginalized, OGLM). This organization houses children orphaned by AIDS. OGLM works for/with the Orphan & Vulnerable Children, Sex Workers, Grandmothers, Youths and Women. There are currently 72 children that are orphaned by AIDS at this orphanage. We will work with our program coordinator in Uganda to provide books, school supplies, clothing and medical care for these children.

Our goal is to show the children that they are loved and not forgotten.

By the end of the 2004 there were:

39.4 million people living with HIV or AIDS worldwide.

2.2 million of these people are children under age of fifteen.

12.1 million orphaned children living with AIDS reside in Sub-Saharan Africa. Minimize
